Large Retailers Which Have Filed For Bankruptcy

GM Pollack and Sons

GM Pollack and Sons started out as a proud, family-owned chain of stores that sold high-grade pieces of jewelry with precious gems like diamonds, rubies, and others. After struggling for years, it became an employee-owned brand in 2009. Despite the change in ownership, GM Pollack started closing down some of its stores in June 2015.

Just a month later, they filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. The entire business was then dissolved by selling off assets and inventory in order to pay off its massive debt. This became a problem for previous customers who can no longer claim warranties on their purchases.
