Tex Ritter and Jason Ritter – Grandfather and grandson
We all know actor Jason Ritter for his roles in the long-running show Parenthood, as well as in Joan of Arcadia, Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, and Gravity Falls, to name just a few. We also know him as the son of the late 80s actor, John Ritter. However, what most people don’t realize is that the family legacy in entertainment actually started far earlier than that, with Jason’s grandfather and John’s father, Tex Ritter, who was a country singer and actor back in the 30s. His biggest claim to fame was as Hollywood’s “singing cowboy.”
