Bet You had No Clue that these Celebrities Share Blood Ties
Ben Affleck and Barack Obama – 11th cousins
Much has been said, written, and discussed about Barack Obama’s lineage and ancestry, especially when he was POTUS. However, there hasn’t been much attention on one particular family relationship of the former president’s—his relation to actor Ben Affleck. They are actually cousins to the 11th degree due to a common ancestor, William Knowlton Jr., who was said to be a bricklayer.
This same ancestor is also shared with Ben’s best friend, actor Matt Damon. Weirdly enough, Ben is actually related to 16 of the United States’ former presidents through various forebears. Indeed, if it wasn’t for his problem with alcohol dependence, it might even be surmised that Ben is destined for a life in politics.
