Surrogacy wasn’t a norm in some parts of the world, but fortunately for the Ozturks, they lived in an area where people widely accepted it. The gorgeous city of Batumi, Georgia, has passed a law that states surrogacy was legal in 1997, providing many couples an additional option on how to start their family.

As expected, the government has set some ground rules to maintain control as to who can take advantage of surrogacy. For one, it’s critical that the couple who expresses interest must be married and of different genders. More importantly, they should be able to afford at least $9,707 to start the entire process.
