Whenever couples make the life-changing decision to get a surrogate mother, they have to be educated on vital aspects of the process to avoid potential problems once the baby arrives. First, it should be made clear to both biological and surrogate parents that the baby will automatically be turned over to the genetic sample provider.
And perhaps the most important agreement that everyone must agree on is the fact that the surrogate mother will never have any legal rights to the baby. She is not allowed to make any contact at all!
