This capital city was dubbed “city in a coma” during the ’80s, probably to signify its lack of activities. Nevertheless, that term is pretty ironic, knowing that it was where Levi Hutchins invented the alarm clock in 1787. From the time the label of being a ‘sleepy town’ was made, the place transformed into a lively place with the introduction of many restaurants and taverns. Then, there’s the continued growth of the Capitol Center for the Arts. Not to mention it’s the home of the world’s largest meatball—a 222-pound meatball made by chef Matthew Mitnitsky of Nonni’s Italian Eatery.
