Upon organizing the event, Woodstock Ventures had managed to sell than 100k tickets, but today we know that nearly half a million attendees had been present at the phenomenal affair! So how did that come to pass?
To say the ’60s were a different time would not be an understatement. Thousands of twenty-somethings and adolescents without tickets had already begun making their way to the small farm and setting up camps, days before the festival was supposed to kick off. In a most shocking but welcome decision, the organizers decided to waive off the entry tickets, stressing that their event was all about universal peace and love after all!
