Even during the festival’s darkest of hours, crowds somehow found the will to remain in a celebratory mood. As shown in this picture, a group of festival-goers is having a cheerful chat relatively impervious to all the mud and trash! Neither the organizers nor the town of Bethel was truly prepared to receive and cater to such a vast number of people on short notice!
The selfless tale of Lisa Ann still survives to this day; she made sandwiches for hungry people, staying up all night at Woodstock. Well, the organizers did manage to procure nearly ten thousand gallons of drinkable water to at least ensure people stayed hydrated!
