It was no surprise that there were no chairs or benches for the attendees of Woodstock. Mostly, such big-scale public gatherings come without sitting arrangements, and this was no exception either. Though the crowd’s energy was palpable, they had to do something about this situation. After all, who could have kept standing for three days!
Taking the matter into their own hands, some lucky people occupied space beside the river on the grass, and a few could fit in on a non-functional tractor. Due to the general lack of space at the venue, a couple of men even sat on a vehicle’s giant wheels!
