Ina Garten – ~$50 million
Ina Garten is best known as the Barefoot Contessa, which is also the title of her popular Food Network show and the cookbooks that she’s been publishing over the years. Ina’s start in the culinary world is a rather unconventional but thoroughly inspiring one. Early in her career, she worked for the White House as an analyst. She then switched to the food business on a whim after falling in love with a specialty food store in the Hamptons which she promptly bought, despite having no experience in the industry. One could say that instead of attending culinary arts schools, Ina chose to educate herself. Along the way, she produced several best selling cookbooks, as well as win an Emmy Award for her show.
