Gennaro Contaldo – ~$10 million
Gennaro Contaldo grew up in Campania in Italy in the 50’s, which truly gives him an edge in Italian food. In fact, he started working in Italian restaurants at the very young age of 8 years old, giving him a better hands-on education than most culinary schools. By 1999, he was able to open his own restaurant, Passione, in London, which was named the “Best Italian Restaurant” of 2005. He then co-starred in the BBC TV series, Two Greedy Italians. The rest of his $10-million bank account can be traced back to the cookbooks he’s been publishing over the years, Gennaro’s Italian Home Cooking, Gennaro’s Easy Italian, Gennaro: Slow Cook Italian, and many others.
