Vikram Vij – ~$50 million
Vikram Vij is an Indian-Canadian celebrity chef who is best known for being one of the stars and investors of the popular Canadian reality show, Dragon’s Den. His culinary journey started when he left his native India at age 20 to work and study in Austria where he attended college classes for a Hotel Management degree. A Canadian hotelier discovered his culinary talents, which led to Vikram moving to Alberta, Canada. In 1994, he opened his first restaurant, which enjoyed massive success. He also built a ready-to-eat meals empire with products easily accessible in supermarkets.
