Gaston Acurio – ~$20 million

Born in Lima, Peru in the late 60’s, Gaston Acurio has since established himself as the foremost authority on Peruvian cuisine. He received formal training at the culinary school, Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. He then built a restaurant empire, which include restaurants like Astrid & Gaston, Café del Museo, Panchita, La Mar, and many more. He has also appeared in several TV shows and documentaries, including Mistura: The Power of Food and Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations. Publishing several cookbooks such as Ceviche Power and Peru: The Cookbook has since added to his massive $20 million fortune.
