Marco Pierre White – ~$40 million
Marco Pierre White is one celebrity chef whose very name alone commands a great deal of awe and respect. He was born to a family which has produced several chefs, including Marco’s grandfather, father, and brothers. Despite his background, he started working from the very bottom as a kitchen apprentice and working himself up the kitchen pecking order. By the time he was 24, he was able to invest in the burger bar Harveys for which he was also the head chef. He is best recognized for his tough and sometimes rude attitude, which served him well as he was able to earn his third Michelin star at only 33 years old. He then shocked the world by returning his stars and going into retirement after just a few years.
