Martin Yan – ~$10 million

Martin Yan has been the face of Chinese cooking since the 80’s, starring in his own PBS series Yan Can Cook since as early as 1982. He has been cooking since he was 12 in his family’s own restaurant in Guangzhou. As a teenager, he then moved to Hong Kong to work for his uncle’s restaurant while also going to school. He then moved to Canada for college and subsequently earning a masters degree in food science in California. He has been teaching Chinese cooking since the late 70’s and has published over 20 cookbooks to date.
